 In churches, payroll is usually the largest expense followed closely by the utility bill. You now have an opportunity for cost reduction on your utility side, investing in your own energy producing system, eliminating that burden, forever. Instead of purchasing power from the grid, you will be generating your own power supply.

Financing is available through a variety of options:

1. PPA - Power Purchasing Agreement: A ​power​ ​purchase​ ​agreement​ (​PPA​) is a legal contract between an electricity generator (provider-financing company) and a ​power​ purchaser (church, nonprofit, residential or commercial buyer).  
2. Pre-Paid PPA: A power purchase agreement that is usually paid for at a discounted rate and financed for 6 years.
3. Creating An LLC: Forming a member LLC to invest in the solar arrays and selling the power to the congregation at a much lower rate. Sometimes donations from parishioners and the community can help with the LLC purchase cost. The federal tax credit and the MACRS depreciation will apply to the LLC and can be passed to the project recipient.
